Fashion as art?????

Here is just a quick saying to think about. Fashion is wearable art, so do not dress yourself like a sloppy mess and just be a blur. Instead make your outfit memorable and throw your own artistic flare into the mix and possibly become part of art history!!!!!

Oscar Fashions for your dog???

As I was watching E news a week or so ago, a story came on about the most popular Oscar fashions. Although this seems like an ordinary fashion report on the best dressed of the night, I was suprised to find out that these were the most popular Oscar fashion recreated for man's best friend. These beautiful gowns and tuxedos were recreated for dog's and I must say that they were styling. So look out fashionistas because you never know when your dog may one up you on the latest fashion trend.
(These doggie fashions are available at Little Lilly, which is a Los Angles based company that sells fashionable pet clothing)

Walk This Way

As I was walking into the mall the other day, I saw something that bothered me. I saw a woman walking in high heel boots, or should I say trying to walk. It looked as if she has just stepped out of the bar and could not possibly walk straight. This is something that bothered me because women think that just because they are wearing heels that they look good and confident. This is unfortunately a misconception because stumbling around does not look good. So the overall message is do not wear high heels if you can not walk in them.

Labels, Labels, Labels

So here is another fashion don't that many people make the mistake of doing. Many people out there believe that labels are everything. They think they need to broadcast to the world that they are wearing an entire Gucci outfit by being covered in the signature print or by covering themselves in Burberry's signature plaid. This is not something one needs to share with the world. Now im not saying this is always bad. Of course signature Chanel and Louis Vuitton handbags are a must have, but please spare us the sight of being dressed in head to toe labels. It adds some intrigue to your outfit if we have to play the guessing game to see what label you are actually wearing.

Busting Out

OK so I am posting another fashion complaint about girls wearing their jeans way too tight. I mean one should not have to jump up and down to squeeze themselves into jeans that are a few sizes too small for them. I do not understand why so many girls think they look good in skin tight jeans, to me this does not make sense. I am also fearful that they are soon going to split the seams on the jeans and then innocent bystanders will be exposed to much more than they needed to see. So buy jeans that fit and everyone will be happy.

Bright Colors for Spring

For the upcoming spring season one trend we should look for is bright, fluorescent colors. Although some people may be afraid to wear a bright pink party dress, there are other ways of incorporating this trend into your wardrobe through accessories. You can dress up a plain outfit by simply adding bright bangles or a fluorescent headband, which will allow you to participate in the new spring trend.

Fashion Mishap

I would like to begin by saying that this is my first blog entry ever and that I appreciate anyone taking the time out of their busy schedule to read it.

I am going to begin my blogging career by commenting on one of the biggest fashion mistakes an individual can make. The fashion mishap I am taking about is the canadian tuxedo. Now for those of you you out there that do not know what this is, a canadian tuxedo is when a guy or girl wears jeans with a jean shirt or jacket. This combination is not attractive and by no means resembles a classic, black Hugo Boss tuxedo in any way. I am unable to comprehend why anyone would think that they need to wear head to toe denim. Then on top of it all think that they look good. I mean did they ever hear of looking in the mirror.

Although many ordinary people are guilty of donning the all over denim look, many celebrities are charged with the fashion crime as well. Take Jay Leno for example, who we see frequently sporting the denim combination when he is out and about. You would think with all the money he has that he would have a stylist or at least a little fashion sense, but I guess not. Well thats enough about that for now, but stay tuned for more fashion raves and updates to come.
